Online Facilitator 101: For Labour Educators

Online Facilitator 101: For Labour Educators

Thursday, July 23, 2020. 1:30-3pm Eastern Time

The Canadian Labour Congress is working with Training for Change to offer this short web-training to educators from CLC affiliated unions.

Many unions and labour educators are developing new tools and opportunities for learning and share with others online. Training for Change is working with the CLC to provide a space to share some of their innovative tools and techniques for engaging and popular education based on online facilitation. They will also facilitate a Q&A to allow participants the opportunity to share best practices and answer questions as we re-imagine labour education at this point in time.

This webinar is a starting place to gain new tools and techniques that can be applied immediately to courses or workshops being developed for online or blended (online and in-person) training.

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • Have some top tips to support them as they transition to online trainings and meetings.
  • Have experienced a range of participatory tools they can use in small or large groups online.
  • Have had the opportunity to ask some questions that are at the top of their minds.
  • Feel they are part of a collaborative network of union educators (and hopefully less isolated in their work).

This webinar is free but space is limited. Within 1 business day after you register, you will receive a confirmation of registration or notification that you have been added to the waiting-list.
